Rye, NH Wedding Venues, Vendors, and JP Services

To the right, you can see a beautiful view of the water at one of our favorite places to perform weddings -
Odiorne Point State Park at the Seacoast Science Center in Rye.

Here are some other great wedding venues and sites in town:

Abenaqui Country Club - Always very accommodating.

•Boat Dock at Odiorne State Park - There are a couple of quiet beaches here that can serve well as a ceremony site. I just recently officiated a ceremony on one of those beaches. It was a cloudy but warm Sunday in July, and the couple an I were the only ones there. If you drive past the opening of the State Park (with the park on your right), not too far down you come to a white bridge. Immediately before the bridge is the opening to the boat dock area. Pull in there, and park in the dirt parking lot. Off to the right, you'll see a little brown-colored bridge. If you walk over the bridge and follow the path around to the left, you'll eventually get to the beaches. It's a bit of a walk, but worth it. The only thing that dampened the day were a few greenheads, but they weren't too troublesome and nothing a little bug repellant couldn't handle.

Jenness Beach - I officiated perhaps my quickest wedding here. It consisted of the "I do's" and the pronouncement of marriage, and it probably took all of 30 seconds. This was a special location for the couple and they wanted to make it "official" there. Then we were off to the Seaglass Restaurant in Salisbury, MA for the longer ceremony in front of family and friends.

Odiorne State Park - There are a few great places to have a ceremony here. Just officiated one at the Founder's Monument, which is about a five minute walk from the Science Center. If you're having a wedding with just a few guests, check it out!

Rye Harbor State Park - I've been the JP for many ceremonies here and am always impressed by the beautiful view, and the many great places to take photos.

Wentworth By The Sea Country Club - Not to be confused with the Wentworth By The Sea Hotel in New Castle (another great place for a wedding), the Country Club is a classy and very picturesque place to have a wedding.

Wallis Sands State Beach - Nice beach with some picturesque places to take photos by the rocks. This is a great place for an elopement but I wouldn't use Wallis Sands for a ceremony with lots of guests.
