Kittery, ME Wedding Venues, Vendors, & JP Services

Here are some great wedding venues & sites in the town:

Fort Foster - This is a great location for a wedding. I officiated a vow renewal here in the off season. The couple and I and a few close friends/family parked at the gate, and walked about 10 minutes to the beach. It was worth it... we were the only ones on the beach, and the scenery is beautiful. When open, you can park a lot closer to the beach but, of course, you'll have more company. There are pavilions you can reserve if you wish, and you can find out more about those by clicking the link above at the start of this paragraph. There are three beaches at Fort Foster - each is worthy of a wedding. Not sure if there is a fee for use of the beach for a wedding during the open season, so might want to call ahead to find out. In any case, if you're looking for a great site to get married in Maine, on the beach, you owe it to yourself to check out Fort Foster. You can get a taste of its beauty here: Fort Foster

Fort McClary State Park - Kind of a cool site for a wedding. There are a few locations to have a small ceremony - most outside, but a few inside in case the weather is not cooperating. This is an old fort, so it's not the most beautiful site, but you can definitely get a feel for the history, and you can view the ocean from many vantage points. Just officiated my first wedding here, and the couple chose this location for their ceremony. There also appear to be some sites at the shore to have a ceremony. I'm going back there soon to do more exploring, and will have more info soon. In the meantime, enjoy these images from the historic fort... Fort McClary

Lion's Club - The club is nothing special as far as wedding venues go, but it is a nice, smaller site to have an inexpensive celebration. My guess is you wouldn't want to try to fit more than 100 guests here.
