Here are some great wedding venues and ceremony sites in town...

Three Chimneys Inn - I love this place for so many reasons. This is a historic site, and the old world charm is evident from the moment you enter the property. The food is great, and the staff are very accommodating and just a pleasure to work with. The grounds are incredible, and you have two beautiful gardens from which to choose to have your wedding. After the wedding, cocktail hours are held outside on the Terrace. If inside, the wonderful, fireplaced Madbury Room is just one of a number of delightful function rooms to have either a large ceremony and reception, or a small, intimate, cozy wedding. Recently, the Inn did some renovations which made it an even prettier place than it was before. To the right is the entrance to the lower garden. Some Pics:

Adams Point - Had the honor of being the JP for a wedding here in early April. There's a nice overlook next to the Jackson Estuarine Laboratory parking lot that is ideal for a small wedding or elopement. I've visited the Point with my wife and dogs in the past, but hadn't been there for a while so it was nice to go back. There are probably more than a few other nice spots for a wedding here, so consider this location for a smaller ceremony in a great outdoor setting. Pics:

Holloway Commons - Did a wedding here in September. This is a relatively new venue on the Durham Campus of the University of New Hampshire. It has a couple of function rooms. The one in which I officiated a ceremony holds about 100 guests. As far as I know, you can only have an indoor wedding here.

Sweet Trail - Was the JP for a small wedding on the trail for the first time in late March. The trail itself is about four miles long, and I can't vouch for any particular spot on the trail other than the one my couple brought me to. If you park on Longmarsh Road and head into the trail, maybe about 1 minute in there is a small trail on the right. If you follow it down about three minutes, you'll come to a lovely spot overlooking the marsh. Quiet, peaceful, serene... all of these words can be used to describe this site. It's ideal if you're trying to find an out-of-the-way, private location in nature to have your ceremony.

The Thompson Inn - This place is a spectacular wedding venue. Performed a ceremony here in early September for the first time. The ceremony site was located in a shady spot under some beautiful trees, and the reception was held in their rustic “Cyderhouse" which, I have it on good authority from a DJ colleague of mine, is large and gorgeous. Unitarian Universalist Church - Officiated a ceremony here for the first time in July, 2015. The ceremony was originally scheduled to be held at Three Chimneys Inn, but it was moved inside to the church due to rain. If you're considering a church site for a wedding, this is a nice place. The wedding I did had about 120 guests, and it was standing room only, so if you want all of your guests seated for a ceremony here, your numbers most certainly have to be under 100.
